My Dad, a spontaneous portrait session…

Over the festive break I was just about to head out when I noticed Dad was tinkering about in the garden doing some woodwork. The scene just seemed right, he had just fashioned up a Heath Robinson style jig to guide a router to make some dovetail joints and was pondering the next stage. So I swiftly fetched the Rolleiflex and went about and shot a roll in about five minutes. I’m very pleased with the results and although it’s not exactly photographic portrait convention I quite like the shot where I have deliberately cropped his head out of the frame.
