Camera – Polaroid 340 Land
Film – Fuji FP100c
This is part of my ongoing project titled ‘Shoot, Contact & Print’ in which I am going through my camera collection and just purely shooting either 1 roll, 1 pack or a set amount of sheets to just reconnect with the joys of photography. The first camera and post was the Polaroid CU-9 Oscilloscope which was interesting to use. Here is the second volley which is my Polaroid 340 Land camera. I did a post ages ago titled the ‘The last dance of the 340’ in which my aim was to celebrate my last pack of Polaroid film. This is because now the images have been shot on Fuji’s peel apart film, so technically they are not Polaroids. But hey they do have a beautiful honeycomb structure to the emulsion.
I did have battery problems, mainly due to the nature of the 3v CR123 battery being tapped to the wires inside the camera. This caused a few misfires so I only got shot 4 viable frames. They were taken in a lovely tea room in Southsea, Portsmouth called ‘Like a teatray in the sky’… I mainly photographed the various creatives work that forms part of this fabulous place. Also the tea and bakewell slice is worth a mention…
